Ways to Make your Fake Tree Feel Real

One of the best parts of Christmas is having a nice tree to decorate and put all the presents under. However, some people prefer fake trees for a few reasons. Real trees can be a little bit of a hassle to put up and maintain, some people are allergic to them, and you pay somewhat of a high price for a tree you will use for less than a month, just to do it again next year. There are many perks to having a real tree, but if you prefer a fake tree, here are some ways to make it feel just like a real one.

If your fake tree has some noticeable bare spots, cover them up with festive loop bows! They are big enough to hide the bare spots and festive enough to fit right in with your tree decorations.

Sometimes fake trees lack a few things, one of them being height. But don't worry.. we have a solution for that! To add a decent amount of height to your fake tree, grab a few paint cans (or something similar) and place your tree on top. Your tree will grow quite a few inches, and you can cover the cans with a beautiful skirt!

This is one of the best ways to make your fake tree feel extremely real. Smell is the most important part of your trees allure. You can grab an ornament and add the perfect christmas scent to make it feel like it's a real tree!

Another way to fill in the bare spots on your tree is to add pine picks. This is a really inexpensive way to make your fake tree look nice! You can get pine picks for a cheap price, and then simply just stuff them in the places that need some filling in!

This is a great idea for two reasons. If you need some height for your fake tree, or if you just need some extra christmas decor! It’s very easy to tell that your tree is fake when people see the metal base at the bottom. You could just cover it up with a tree skirt, but your tree with probably still be short. Adding a real tree stump with give it the height it needs and make your tree different from everyone else’s!

Does it get any more creative than this? All you need is some lightweight spackling and a paintbrush. Mix the paste with a little bit of water and then paint away! Paint on the tops of the branches to give it the snowy effect.

If you need another way to make your fake tree appear fuller, here it is! All you need to do is wrap artificial pine garland around your tree and ta-da!
