Who doesn’t love a beautiful fireplace? If you have one in your living room, you can bring some of your living room pieces closer to the fireplace and add throw pillows and blankets for warmth. Having all the pieces all together for entertaining will be more cozy, and it looks great too!

To make your living room more cozy this winter, giving your fireplace is a good place to start. A good tip is hanging a large mirror or picture above the fireplace, that way the focal point goes right to the warm fireplace.

Don't you just feel comfy looking at this reading nook? Adding lots of seat cushion, pillows, and even a throw blanket makes this the coziest place in the house. You will be running home to get to your reading nook! Tip: You can add under-seat storage to store books or blankets!

Getting your room ready for winter doesn’t have to include a whole makeover. Layering some textured bedding to your bed, adding lots of pillows, and adding throw blankets is a great place to start!

Preparing your dining room for winter is a piece of cake. Getting ready for winter in general, is all about layering fabrics. Taking the chairs in your dining room and adding slipcovers to them gives them style and warmth! Easy to put on and take off and they look great.

Make your living room cozy by taking an existing rug and layering it with a smaller, thinner rug. Place your furniture on top of the cozy rugs and throw some pillows on the furniture!

Winter doesn’t always have to be about the blues and greys.. You can still keep warm with pops of warm colors! Bold pillows or throw blankets will make sure that your neutral colored space doesn’t look too dark or feel too cold. You can also keep these pieces all the way into spring, that way you get your money’s worth!

Want to make your living room more cozy, quickly? Grab accent pillows for your living room and throw them on your existing furniture. Choose decor in colors and patterns that match your existing decor to ensure you don't have to make any more decor adjustments. If your room is made up of dark wood, think about trying warmer colors, and maybe even throwing down an off-white fuzzy rug.

Hardwood flooring is sophisticated and beautiful at any given time, but with winter upon us, it might be a good idea to cover some of it for a little while. Adding a fuzzy rug to a large portion of your hardwood floor not only covers up the coldness on your feet, but it makes the room feel warmer as well.
