Summer is a time for being outdoors, soaking up the sun, and enjoying everything that nature has to offer. The season is only a few short weeks away so you better start to think of how you are going to clean up your yard to be ready for entertaining guests. If you have a small backyard or one that is larger, you can decorate to your personal liking. Below are some ideas that you can incorporate into your space to have summer hangout in 2016.
1. Outdoor Bar
Having a bar in your backyard is almost essential to having a blast this year. The convenience of having one outside will save you from dragging dirt into the house to get supplies. Keep everything outback including the mess!
2. Trendy Sitting
Don't be the house who has boring furniture! If you're going to have an outdoor space for sitting make sure it is trendy, fun, and colorful. Like the image above, having a table, area rug, and colorful chairs make sitting for conversation more inviting and as if you are at a high end resort.
3. Fire Pit...Water Feature...or Both!
Having a fire pit or water feature can become the main place where guests will want to sit and talk. The circular shape of this makes it easy for people to sit around and chat. The fabulous image above has the best of both worlds with a fountain and fire pit in the center!
4. Pretty Pergola
Pergolas are great to beat the summer heat since their purpose is to block the sun while creating shade. These are great to add to your patio so you can enjoy the outdoors even on scorching hot days. Create a space with comfy furniture, coffee table, and plants for some color!
Get creative with how you display your plants. The image above took plants like vines and let them grow around large circular polls to create this eco-friendly look.
If you do not have a lot of money to work with, just adding little weather friendly accessories can make your space go from plain and boring to classy and fabulous. Throw pillows with bright patterns, coasters for your cold drinks, and candle holders will dress up a backyard easily!
7. Poolside Perch
Place your seating arrangement in view with the pool. This adds a calming element when the water is still which can be very relaxing. If you have kids, this will be the best place to sit yourself so you can keep an eye on them.
