What gets wetter the more that it dries?
A beach towel of course. Colorful and festive, beach towels can do more than just dry off a sea-soaked body. Take advantage of the wonderfully bright colors and prints to freshen up your home for summer. Try one or more of the following brilliant uses for beach towels.
Patio furniture looking a little tired? Drape colorful breach towels over lounges and chairs to disguise the fact that your furniture has seen better days. The towels will also act as comfortable cushioning while also adding color.
For great makeshift pillows that can color coordinate with your outdoor theme, roll up large beach towels and secure with safety pins. Tie them to the backs of lounge chairs with colorful ribbons, or leave them loose to be positioned as needed, such as on a backyard hammock.
Old beach towels can get new life as a chic and colorful bathroom rug. Cut a rubber gridded mat to the proper size (you can find these mats at craft or fabric stores). Next, cut your towels into thin strips and tie the strips to the mat. Knot one strip per box for a fuller look, or one strip per every other box, if you want the project to go quickly.
