Storage gets stylish when you take full advantage of the wonderful shapes of candy jars and cookie jars. Here is how three different DIYers do it.
Cyndy Alfred, blogger at The Creativity Exchange and author of Idiot's Guides: Organizing Your Life says she likes using candy jars and cookie jars because they look pretty, and they reveal exactly what is inside them for easy access. She stores everything from glue to board game pieces in them.
Blogger Amy of The Homestead Revival Likes to put large clear cookie jars to a more practical use. She takes a pretty tedious household reality, saving shopping receipts and makes it more palatial by storing those receipts in cookie jars. She keeps two jars out and available, one for this months receipts, and one for last month's receipts. Scrapbooking tags wrapped around the lid handles identifies which jar is which.
Blogger Haeley of Design Improvised has taken her business strategy skills and have applied them to organzing and decorating her home. As part of a laundry room makeover, she decided to store her laundry pods in a cookie jar, which ads a nice pop of bright color to a functional space. "Please make sure to keep it out of the reach of kids!" she cautions.
